Considered by many to be the most prestigious and recognizable US literary prize, The New York Best Sellers Award – NYBSA combines the four most important criterias before issuing an award. The criterias are:
  • Total Sales
  • Number of Nominations
  • Content
  • Popular Vote
Anyone can nominate an author or producer and unlike other recognition venues, the NYBSA does not discriminate between big publisher or self-publisher productions. Instead, we look at the total sales or forecasted sales, how many nominations it receives, how good is the content and how popular it is. We find that this criteria is fair and equalizes every author regardless of their marketing budget.
The submission process is easy. Simply go to the submissions page, complete the form, pay the submission fee (if you were sponsored, enter the payment code you received from your sponsor) and click submit. You are done. Someone from the submissions' team will confirm receipt of your entry. The NYBSA winner's announcements may happen monthly, and the year-end announcement will be made between October 11 and January 9. If you entered the contest between January 10 - October 10 your submission will have an opportunity to win every month as our contest rolls over month-to-month between January 10 and October 10 of each year. This NYBSA unique feature give you the best chance to win an award.
